Seven Risk Factors for Developing Alzheimer’s Identified; Many Cases Preventable
Current estimates suggest that by 2050, more than 106.2 million people worldwide will be living with Alzheimer’s. A study conducted by the Institute of Public Health at the University of Cambridge, U.K. both identified the 7 top risk factors for developing Alzheimer’s and investigated how reducing each of these factors would cut the number of cases of the disease. Simple lifestyle changes could prevent up to 30% of new cases.
